OUR EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Useful guidance.
Clear limits.

How we choose sources, explain activities, and handle corrections at True to Dogs.

WHY WE PUBLISH

Make everyday choices easier.

True to Dogs is an independent publisher focused on practical dog enrichment for busy households and small homes. We publish activity explanations and planning tools to help readers choose a manageable starting point.

Guides carry the True to Dogs byline because the site is responsible for their editorial content. That byline is a publisher identity, not a claim of veterinary credentials. Learn more about True to Dogs.

Sources and the limits of our guidance

Our guides link to relevant animal-welfare organizations, veterinary associations, and other identifiable sources for background on enrichment and care. We aim to connect sources to the claims they support and explain where a setup is a practical example.

A source link does not mean that organization reviewed or endorsed our page. Our current general enrichment guides do not claim independent veterinary review. They are not diagnosis, treatment, or individualized behavior advice.

Activity times are estimates. Space and noise labels describe a setup, not a guarantee about an individual dog. Readers still need to assess materials, supervision, and their dog’s comfort. Health concerns, movement restrictions, or persistent distress call for advice from an appropriate qualified professional.

Experience, examples, and product coverage

We distinguish a suggested setup from a documented observation. An example routine or note is an illustration unless we explicitly identify it as a real observation. We do not present estimates as measurements or claim hands-on product testing without doing it.

Any future product review should explain what was tested, how it was used, who it may suit, and its limitations. If a recommendation contains a commission-earning link or a commercial relationship, that relationship should be disclosed clearly with the relevant content.

Publication dates and corrections

Guide headers show their publication date. When a guide is changed on a later date, the header also shows an updated date. These dates describe the page’s publication record; they do not imply a new product test or professional review.

If you find an error, an unclear instruction, a broken link, or a concern about an activity, please contact us. Include the page address, the passage or step involved, and a source or explanation when you have one. We use those reports to evaluate corrections and improve the guidance.
